Children must be at least age 7 on audition day. No exceptions please.

Casting notification immediately following audition!
Casting is determined by the Artistic Staff of Tulsa Ballet.
Students of Tulsa Ballet’s Center for Dance Education will have more specific requirements.
- Girls auditioning for Marie should be Intermediate to Advanced students taking pointe classes 3 to 4 days a week. Some of these girls may be held over to audition with Group 2.
- Girls auditioning in Group 1 Ballet Class and Party Scene must be Intermediate to Advanced ballet students, taking 3 or more ballet classes per week. Girls must look like children, not mature young ladies.
- Children auditioning for Mice and Soldiers should be currently enrolled in ballet or gymnastics classes.
- All children should come dressed in dance clothing:
- Girls: Leotards, tights, and ballet slippers. (pointe shoes for those auditioning for Marie)
- Boys: T-shirts, tights or shorts and socks or ballet slippers.
- Children who qualify in age and size for more than one audition should attend all.
- While children audition in specific height and age groups, they do not audition for a specific role. By auditioning, children agree to accept the role assigned.
- It is critical that all children be available for all scheduled rehearsal and performance dates regardless of cast. Rehearsals are mandatory! Illness is the only exception! Children in Tulsa Ballet productions are given professional training with a professional company. This takes time, but results in the highest degree of professionalism possible for children. Please do not audition if there could be a conflict with sports, school activities (including holiday performances), travel or family engagements.
- There will be a $5.00 handling fee. Please bring correct change. Maximum fee is $10.00 for families with more than two children auditioning. Children must be from the same mailing address.

Tulsa Ballet Not all children will rehearse on all days. A complete schedule will be sent with the contract within 2 weeks of audition day. |
