Bio:
After training with English National Ballet and at the “Floria Capsali” Choreographic High School, Ovidiu’s professional career began as a Principal dancer with the Bucharest National Opera. As a Principal dancer he danced Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, The Sleaping Beauty, La Corsaire, La Bayadere, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Palladio (neoclassical), Balanchine (Valse Fantesie and Serenade), A Mid Summer Night’s Dream among many others. He has won several competitions including second place in the Eurovision Young Dancers and first place in the Sibiu International Ballet and Contemporary Dance Competition. He has performed with Belgrade National Opera, Bratislava National Opera, Novi Sad National Opera, Oleg Danovsky Ballet Company, “Les Etoiles du XXI-e Siecle” at Paris Theatre Champs Elysses, “Domino Noire” Project, Iasi National Opera, Timisoara National Opera, Sofia National Opera, Brasov National Opera, Cluj National Opera and Sibiu National Theater as a guest artist.
