Jia received her training from The Beijing Dance Academy, The Harid Conservatory and the Joffrey Ballet Trainee Program. During the four years at Harid, Jia danced the Pricipal roles in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty. As a trainee at Joffrey Ballet, she performed with the company in Cinderella, Don Quixote, Alexie Kremnev’s Le Roi and Wayne McGregor’s Infra. Her awards include the Dance Study Award, Jeanotte B. Cerrone Award for Excellence in Dance Performance, Nathalie Krassovska Memorial Ballet Scholarship and second place in the Senior Classical Category at the Youth America Grand Prix.
