Hyonjun Rhee was born in Korea. He studied at the Sun Hwa Arts School and the Seoul and Korea National University of Arts. Hyonjun joined Universal Ballet in 2007, and has performed leading roles in Onegin (John Cranko) The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadère, Don Quixote, Shim Chung, The Love of Chunhyang (Brian Yoo), Petite Mort (Jiří Kylián), Sechs Tänze (Jiří Kylián), Na Floresta (Nacho Duato), Duende (Nacho Duato), Black Cake (Hans van Manen), In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated (William Forsythe), Minus 7 (Ohad Naharin), Variations Serieuses (Christopher Wheeldon), This is Your Life (Young Soon Hue) among many other roles.
