Youhee Son was born in Korea. She attended the Yewon Arts School, Perm State Ballet School in Russia and Les Ecole Superieure. Yoohee joined Universal Ballet in 2004 and prior to that, was a member of Korea National Ballet from 2001- 2002. Her repertory includes leading roles in Onegin (John Cranko), The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadère, Don Quixote, The Love of Chunhyang (Brian Yoo), Petite Mort (Jiří Kylián), In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated (William Forsythe), This is Your Life (Young Soon Hue), Variations Serieuses (Christopher Wheeldon) among many other roles.
