Bobbie Lynn was born in Houston, TX where she began dancing at the age of 2. She attended American Academy of Dance where she was a member of Houston Dance Theater and Regional Dance America. While there, Bobbie received numerous dance scholarships to summer intensives. She was also chosen to perform in the RDA Southwest honors piece at the USA International Ballet Competition (2010) in Jackson, MS. In 2010, her family relocated to Tulsa, OK so she could train at the Tulsa Ballet Center for Dance Education. Since training at TBCDE, Bobbie has performed with Tulsa Ballet as Young Marie in The Nutcracker (2010, 2011), a Bride in Dracula (2012), and in the Corps de Ballet of Four Temperaments in Balanchine and Beyond (2013). She also had the opportunity to perform with Tulsa Ballet II during the 12-13 season, dancing in Ma Cong’s Match Point, and in Raymonda Suite. During her training at TBCDE, she competed in the Youth America Grand Prix, where she was the gold medalist in the Senior Women’s Classical Division at the Dallas Regionals (2012), which qualified her to compete in the final rounds in New York City (2012). Bobbie was also selected to perform in the YAGP Young Medal Winners Gala at the Miami International Ballet Festival (2012). This is Bobbie’s first year with TBII.
