Born in Sweden, Alexandra joined Tulsa Ballet as an Apprentice and was promoted to Soloist in 2001. Her most memorable performances include the Chosen One in The Rite of Spring, the Principal woman in Val Caniparoli’s Lambarena, Ma Cong’s Carmina Burana, Nacho Duato’s Arenal and Rassemblement, Olympe in Lady of the Camellias, Myrtle in The Great Gatsby and Milady in The Three Musketeers. She has also danced Principal roles in La Sylphide, Theme and Variations, Push and to Shove, Carmen, Black Tuesday, The Concert and Black Cake. She recently enjoyed performing works by renowned choreographers William Forsythe and Jirí Kylián and having roles created for her by Val Caniparoli, Young Soon Hue, Tony Fabre, Ma Cong and Nicolo Fonte. Alexandra and has been featured in Pointe Magazine and on the cover of Dance Magazine. She received her dance training in New York from Valia Seiskaya at Seiskaya Ballet Academy, and later at Huntington Ballet. Alexandra and her husband, Yann, are proud parents of 3-year-old daughter, Sanya. Alexandra would like to dedicate this season to Moscelyne Larkin Jasinski, in gratitude of all she has done to inspire the love of dance in our community.
