Our Facility

All classes will be conducted at Tulsa Ballet Studios in the company's headquarters at 4512 South Peoria Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The 38,000 square-foot building in midtown Tulsa was renovated from the former Holmes Elementary School into a state-of-the-art dance facility in 1992.

Core to the building are three large dance studios. Studio A, the largest studio, is approximately 50 feet by 77 feet and was the former school's gymnasium. Studio B, approximately 51 feet by 61 feet, has the same floor construction as Studio C which is roughly 44 feet by 65 feet. Each studio is equipped with a three-layer, basket-weave, sprung wooden floor made of ponderosa pine. The floors are covered by a special dance linoleum to ensure the dancers' safety by giving better traction to avoid slipping. Designed especially for dancers' protection, the floor works with the performers' bodies to give elevation, cushion landings and avoid injury. Mirrors in the studios reach from the floor to ten feet and are almost flawlessly seamed together, while special attention to lighting needs and observation areas make these studios both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
